Both the luxury cabins and surf shacks look similar on the outside. But, the surf shacks are smaller, more basic and don’t include a private bathroom.

As mentioned, the holiday park isn’t a beachfront park. But, it’s really only a short distance from Seven Mile Beach. Certainly, its closeness to the river and the beach provides ample opportunity for fun activities in the water.
By far, most of the accommodation at Discovery Parks Gerroa are charming cabins. But, there is also an apartment and a motel room. The apartment sleeps up to eight people and the motel room sleeps up to four people. In comparison, the cabins can sleep between two and six people. So, as you can see, Discovery Parks Gerroa offers diverse accommodation options for families and couples.
The self-contained accommodation units are all fitted with fundamental amenities such as air conditioning, a private bathroom, a TV and kitchenware. In addition, one point of difference at Discovery Parks Gerroa is the convenient on-site kiosk, where you can buy basic groceries.

How to Get to Gerroa
The easiest and quickest way to get to a holiday park in Gerroa is to drive there. After all, it’s the easiest way to transport any luggage or gear that you’re taking with you. Having a car is also super convenient if you want to explore the South Coast beyond Gerroa.
It’s even possible to use public transport but we don’t recommend it as services are limited, which can make for a slow and tedious journey. But, if you have no choice, from Sydney, it’s best to catch a train to Kiama Station or Gerringong Station. From either of those stations, you can catch a bus to Gerroa, where you won’t be too far from either holiday park. We recommend using the Transport NSW Trip Planner or app to help plan your journey.
