A cookie is a small file that contains some information including an anonymous unique identifier (a string of letters and numbers). When you visit a website, the site’s computer communicates with your computer, asking for consent to store this file (cookie) on your computer’s web browser. The identifier embedded in the cookie is then sent back to the website’s server each time the user’s browser requests a page from the server. Websites can continue to send cookies to your browser if your browser’s preferences allows it. To protect your privacy, your browser only allows a website to access cookies it has already sent to you, and not other cookies sent by other websites.
Cookies may be either sessional or persistent. Session cookies will usually expire when the user exits the browser. Persistent cookies are stored by a web browser and can remain there indefinitely unless there is an embedded expiry date or the user chooses to deny cookies initially or delete them afterwards (see instructions below on how to do this). Cookies do not usually contain any personally identifiable information of the user, but personal information that we store about you may be linked to information stored in cookies.
Travelmademedoit.com will also use cookie equivalents including social media pixels. These allow social media sites such as, but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and Youtube, to track users’ visits of other websites in order to individualise advertisements users see whilst using that social media platform. Travelmademedoit abides by the policies of these social media platforms when using these pixels.
If you leave a comment on travelmademedoit.com, you may opt in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. This means that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for 1 year.
Travelmademedoit.com does not and cannot control these third parties’ tracking technologies or how they use them. If you have any questions about an advertisement, you should contact the responsible provider directly.
